A Meeting Point for Innovation and Responsibility
The event brought together experts from various fields, creating a platform for knowledge exchange, regulatory discussions, and the presentation of breakthrough technologies driving the development of modern medicine.
A Breakthrough in Retinal Diagnostics
One of the most impressive innovations presented was CheckEye – an intelligent system that uses retinal scans to detect diseases at an early stage, particularly in diabetic patients.
“What’s remarkable is that the examination can be performed by a person without medical training,” said Fryderyk Janiak, Business Development Manager at Pure Clinical.
“This is a breakthrough, especially in regions affected by crisis, such as Ukraine.”
Telemedicine: A Decade of Dynamic Growth
The conference also revisited key milestones in the evolution of telemedicine. Łukasz Sosnowski presented an overview of the past decade, during which remote healthcare services have gained significant importance — both from the perspective of patients and healthcare systems.
Responsible Implementation of Artificial Intelligence
A crucial part of the discussion focused on ethical and legal challenges.
As Fryderyk Janiak noted, AI governance is becoming increasingly urgent:
“Legal and ethical risks are real, especially when AI is implemented without accountability. We are already seeing how serious the consequences can be.”
During the regulatory panels, experts discussed the AI Act and the European Health Data Space (EHDS), emphasizing the importance of collaboration between patients, science, and industry to ensure the safe and transparent sharing of medical data that supports the development of AI in healthcare.
