Last week, our experts took part in the GMES Conference in South Korea – one of the most significant MedTech events in Asia. The visit offered not only knowledge exchange but also the chance to strengthen international ties and explore the dynamic Korean medical technology market.
Global platform for MedTech dialogue
The GMES conference gathered innovators, regulators, and clinicians from all over the world. Our representatives, Katarzyna Wesołowska and Małgorzata Pawlikowska, were invited to contribute with their own presentations, highlighting clinical and regulatory aspects of medical device and IVD development in the European Union. Their presence confirmed the growing role of our organizations in shaping the international conversation about compliance and patient safety.
Building bridges between Europe and Asia
The Korean MedTech ecosystem is developing rapidly, with strong governmental support and openness to international cooperation. During numerous networking sessions, we exchanged perspectives with local partners and explored opportunities for future projects. The emphasis on AI-driven diagnostics and digital health solutions resonated strongly with our expertise in regulatory and clinical fields.
Knowledge sharing and learning from local leaders
Our experts had the chance to attend specialized sessions focused on regulatory frameworks in Asia. By comparing EU MDR/IVDR pathways with Korean and APAC requirements, we were able to gather valuable insights that will enrich the support we offer to our clients. This knowledge sharing ensures that we remain a bridge between European manufacturers and new global markets.
Special thanks to our partners
We extend our gratitude to the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) and the World Medical Innovation & Technology (WMIT) organizers for their invitation and hospitality. Their effort made this event not only insightful but also inspiring for future joint initiatives.
